Wellbeing at home

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we're all feeling less secure and missing our usual routines. Our children are missing their friends, teachers and the routines which school brings. We recommend that you build in regular opportunities  to exercise and focus on their wellbeing during their days at home. But just as doing exercise improves physical health, you and your child can do activities to boost their mental health.
 
Here are some activities which will promote your child's wellbeing whilst they are isolating:

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves...

Staying Fit and Healthy 
 
The government recommends that children should engage in at least sixty minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily. Exercise releases chemicals, in your body, like endorphins and serotonin that help to improve your mood. If you exercise regularly, it can reduce your stress and symptoms of mental health conditions like depression and anxiety.However, what to do if you are stuck indoors? We have found some useful virtual PE resources that can help you and your child to find ways to bust some moves in the great indoors.
