Welcome

Welcome to Hardwicke Primary Academy.
I am absolutely delighted to have joined the team here as Executive Headteacher in September 2022, I also lead St. James' Church of England Primary School, a school that is also part of our Trust. This means that we can work effectively in partnership.

Through 2020 and 2021, the school team worked closely with all stakeholders, in order to create our school vision. 'We Inspire children to Shine.' This is rooted in the bible 'Walk as children of light.' (Ephesians 5:8)

Our aspirations for all children is that they ‘shine’ in all that they do through the gifts and talents they have been blessed with. As a team, we ensure that our curriculum is highly ambitious and aspirational so that everything we do, is of an excellent standard.
We set high expectations for all of our children, in how they behave in and around the school and our local community, as well as the work they produce. We expect out children to be 'Ready, Respectful and Safe' as a minimum expectation. My ultimate aim, through a rich and diverse curriculum and introducing them to the best that has been thought and said, is for them to leave Hardwicke with the skills and knowledge required for their secondary education and for their future lives.  I want our school to provide firm foundations, so that children develop a love of learning.

With the teachings of the faith at the centre, in an authentically Christian school, our children bring Hope for our future. Hope, alongside WisdomCommunity and Dignity are the four core elements that are underpinned by DGAT. We work in collaboration with our DGAT family of schools and our school parents/carers who, ‘Together, may we give our children the roots to grow and wings to fly’.

The children are in four houses; OakBeechElm and Chestnut. They will take part in a range of ‘house’ competitions that celebrate their creativity and skills including football, netball, music and talent competitions. Each week, we will count the number of 'House Points' that the children have been awarded and announce the winner in Celebration Worship!

Our children would be delighted to meet you and tell you all about their school. The website is designed to give visitors a true insight into school life but it is also for our parents and carers to keep in touch with events and stay informed as to what is happening at school.

I hope that you enjoy exploring our website and if you have any further questions, then please do not hesitate in contacting me.
