Welcome

Welcome to Hardwicke Primary Academy.
I am absolutely delighted to have joined the team here as Headteacher in September 2020.

During the Autumn term, I intend to work with all stakeholders (staff, parents/carers, children and governors) in order to create a vision that is truly representative of our school and community.

My aspirations for all children is that they ‘shine’ in all that they do through the gifts and talents they have been blessed with. I will work alongside the team of staff to ensure that our curriculum is highly ambitious and aspirational so that everything we do, is of an excellent standard.
We will set high expectations for all of our children, in how they behave in and around the school and our local community, as well as the work they produce. My ultimate aim, through a rich and diverse curriculum and introducing them to the best that has been thought and said, is for them to leave Hardwicke with the skills and knowledge required for their secondary education and for their future lives. Ultimately, I want our school to provide firm foundations, so that children develop a love of learning.

With the teachings of the faith at the centre, in an authentically Christian school, our children bring Hope for our future. Hope, alongside WisdomCommunity and Dignity are the four core elements that are underpinned by DGAT. We work in collaboration with our DGAT family of schools and our school parents/carers who, ‘Together, may we give our children the roots to grow and wings to fly’.

Hardwicke Early Years (preschool) is now based within our Early Years phase and we work in close collaboration with them. This will help the children with a smooth transition from nursery to formal schooling when they join us in Reception. ‘Limitless’ the before and after school club provides wrap around care from 8.00a.m.-6:00p.m.

The children are in four houses; OakBeech, Elm and Chestnut. My ambition is that they will take part in a range of ‘house’ competitions that celebrate the creativity of our children. such as football, netball, music and talent competitions. These ‘house’ events will include football, netball, music and the creative arts, all organised by the Y6 House Captains.

Our children would be delighted to meet you and tell you all about their school. The website is designed to give visitors a true insight into school life but it is also for our parents and carers to keep in touch with events and stay informed as to what is happening at school.

I hope that you enjoy exploring our website and if you have any further questions, then please do not hesitate in contacting me.
