At Hardwicke School, Geography is taught in line with the National Curriculum and is designed to equip all pupils with a secure understanding of locational knowledge, place knowledge, and human and physical geography. Our ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum is carefully sequenced from Early Years to Year 6, enabling children to build upon prior learning and develop increasingly sophisticated geographical understanding over time.
We aim to inspire a lifelong curiosity and fascination about the world, empowering pupils to make sense of the diverse places, people and environments that shape it. Rooted in our school vision, “Do Everything in Love,” Geography encourages children to value and respect different cultures, communities and landscapes, fostering compassion, responsibility and stewardship of the world around them. Through meaningful enquiry and real-world connections, pupils develop as informed, thoughtful and active global citizens who are prepared for their future in an ever-changing world.
